A dark & dirty nightclub on the west side of London in 2006 is where Josh Chancer & Marcelo Marques decided to start something very special, something they called Soundas. With ideas of underground clubbing, close friends and like-minded individuals, a rare but compelling convergence of the Brazilian & Welsh occurred, united through music. With a string of events @ U4ria, collaborations with the Finger warehouse parties & the International Indoor festival, Soundas established a proven following & respect in a very short space of time. Despite the success of London Josh & Marcelo decided to do a 6 month tour of Brazil, covering Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo & Brasilia. Through the states, Soundas hosted and co promoted many events, with their residents dj’ing at out door Raves, Clubs, & bars, some of the high lights included playing NYE in Rio & to 10 thousand + crowds in Mines. Back in sunny Wales, Lance Hopkins & Tristan Gleed were hosting Soundas parties & on return form Brazil, the Soundas crew carried on with their massive parties all over the UK, including, Cardiff, Newport, Bristol & The midlands. With London being made base again, Soundas have build a respected brand are working with some of the biggest promotions, Clubs & dj’s in the world. With 2011 bringing a 5th birthday, yet another Ibiza tour & associated label launch.Soundas style seems to be only way to do it. The Music policy ways in the favor of twisted tec house, deep, driving minimalised beats.
