The legends of the hip-hop and dance scene have arrived in Johannesburg today in preparation of their first gig on Wednesday, 15th December at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena.
Back2Kool will feature the hit-makers Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer and SNAP!’S TURBO B with their entourage of dancers on stage as three back-to-back dance sets with a guest DJ in-between to keep the crowd jumping. Four hours of the best old-school tunes, three of the biggest artists from the 90’s, two days to go – all on one stage...!
Ultra cool Vanilla Ice has sold over 48 million records that just keep selling. This rapping icon his super hits “Ice Ice Baby”, “the Ninja Rap” and “Stop That Train” was one of the earliest white rappers to attain major success, both in America but on the Global stage. Vanilla Ice’s career has been bound to music: “It's a true story that Video Killed the Radio Star because music should not be about image. Music should be about the music!” he says. Releasing a new album "WTF" meaning Wisdom, Tenacity, Focus, or What The Fun, shows he’s still got it!
MC Hammer the global phenomenon shaped a generation with his unforgettable dance moves, “Hammer Pants”, glasses and a haircut that became pop culture staple.
