On Friday 23rd June, The Gallery presents another 3 room monster featuring more of your favourite Gallery DJs. The hub of the action takes place in the main room where Radio 1’s legendary jock Judge Jules is this week’s very special guest. Jules has been with The Gallery since day dot, and the club still remains very much close to his heart. It’s also one of the few clubs in the world where Jules can play just about anything he wants – from tonking electro, to trance and techno. Which is nice. Backing him up will be Marco V – one of the world’s Top 20 DJs of the past few years and one of the most consistent producers to boot. Like Jules, Marco is a hugely popular at The Gallery and so with the two playing together this week, you can surely expect more queues round the block! New Gallery resident Sander Van Doorn also gets stuck into the action, together with fellow rezzies – John Askew and Gavyn Mytchel. Sander has been tipped by just about EVERY major trance producer as ‘the one to watch in 2006’ and judging by the amount of appearances he’s making at all the big dance festivals this summer as well as key sets out in Ibiza – it’s easy it see why. Chris Stanford has the honour of warming up for this lot!
Over in T2, regular backroom session Going Places present more ‘Adventures in International House Music’. Famed for bringing you a the hottest new undiscovered talent from all over the globe, this month their quest to find the next big thing, has taken Going Places to Kuala Lumpur, where they’ve brought back the one like Donovan Da Funkie Junkie. Donovan is one of the main players on the Malaysian house scene and regularly graces the decks at leading clubs like TwelveSI, Atmosphere and Cynna. In addition, the GP crew look closer to home for support with resident and MOS Radio weekly radio host Tania von Pear rocking out her electro-breaks mash-up, alongside men about town – Cheshire Catz, who’ll be launching their forthcoming single ‘Wide Awake’ on their brand spanking new label Fakt Recordings on the night. Rising new producer Mark Sun meanwhile, warms up early doors. Finally in T3, The Gallery welcomes back John Digweed’s Bedrock Records label to showcase their latest DJ protégées on the night. At the top of the stack will be Guy Gerber – who’ll be making his Gallery debut on the night. Gerber’s ‘Stoppage Time’ tune was hailed as one of the stand out tracks of the past few years and for the American heroes super-rare UK appearance, he’ll be performing a live Ableton set, which is not to be missed. Gallery regulars and fellow Bedrock Records label mates Parallel Sound also mix up their electronic mastershow with support from Digweed’s fave new DJ Neil Quigley. It just doesn’t get any bigger than this
