This year in a break from tradition I will be avoiding all Christmas related clichés regarding drinking and eating to much and it being the party season.
So erm, um, December then, it might be a bit colder and erm... Oh sod it.
It's silly season and as usual Zoology gets to be one of the first events to host a Christmas Party so begin the seasonal debauchery with us and start as you mean to go on.
This year instead of our Christmas House party as we've had for the last couple of years we're going the complete opposite with a party combining two Zoology favourites Techno and Hard. We'll get things started with some chunky Techno business and moving into Hard Dance to end the night. We've got a great bunch of DJs along for this including 4 debutants. So onto the line up then.
Matt Dahl
Who is this man and what is this strange music he plays that makes our bodies shake and wiggle? Why it's Matt Dahl, resident supreme and party starter for the X-mas party.
Paul Zykotik b2b JD Pleks
Mr Z has graced the decks for a few events, notably Alumni and now makes his debut at Zoology. He teams up with his fellow countryman (they're Scottish) JD Pleks who has played for Zoo loads of times under the name of... Well you work it out. These two are Scotland's finest exports since the Deep Fried Mars Bar and will be whipping up some excellent and unusual Techno.
B.S.E b2b Slacky
Our resident bonkers bovine teams up with long time Zoology friend, and amazing DJ in his own right, Slacky. To take things up a gear they will be giving us a full on Techno and Hard House sound clash. As more DJs playing Hard House skip Techno into their sets this will be a chance to hear one one begins and the other ends.
Latex Zebra
Will probably play some kind of Techno infused Trance that will certainly be fierce and will continue to move things up.
Trevor Dans
A man who DJs purely for love, so we're paying him with hugs and kisses. Just kidding. Trevor is a Hard Dance DJ and Producer who has impressed many with his skills behind the decks and his mixture of own productions and the sound of Hard Dance as it is today. Making his debut for Zoo, we look forward to having this outspoken member of the scene play for us.
Aaron James
Aaron is part of the new breed of Brixton DJs whose passion and energy have helped revitalise what many say is a dying scene. When I first heard him he was fusing together tracks that had no business being mixed together seamlessly and immediately caught my attention. Since then he has been piped by many on the Brixton scene as one to watch for the future. We totally agree with them.
Victoria Ling
Victoria has been a friend to some of the Zoo crew since she was a little girl. Now fully grown and a regular face amongst the crew she moves from the dance floor to behind the decks. Victoria has been noticed by many for her energetic sets and she will be closing Zoology's final party of 2007 with a full on Hard Dance frenzy.
Tons of DJs, all playing an amazing mixture off music. If you only go to one Christmas Party this year, make sure it's Zoology!
