After a well overdue 3 year absence Global Underground returns to South Africa for a special 10 year anniversary tour. Superstar DJ James Lavelle will be headlining the event supported by the very best local live acts, DJs, VJs and performers.
Anything Goes, Society and Global Breakthrough will be throwing this illustrious affair at Johannesburg's premium underground super club? CARFAX. Carfax has just undergone a massive refurbishment and will be the perfect venue to host the event!

Global Underground is arguably the most successful dance label of all time. No label encapsulates dance music's international explosion and restless creativity quite like GU.
So what do you get when you cross slamming dirty breakbeats with the world of Global Underground... obviously James Lavelle in Barcelona mixing up a bit of progressive together with his trademark impressive break beat sound. This was James Lavelle's debut on Global Underground back in 2002. He then followed up this explosive CD with GU026 JAMES LAVELLE. Bucharest Romania. Even more eclectic - ever more James Lavelle.
To celebrate the longevity of the label that has helped spread the underground to the higher ground; GU recently released its massive 10 year anniversary disc that spans across an insane 4-Disc Limited set along with the triple-vinyl.

James Lavelle is diverse, dark and blinding all at once. Lavelle's vast music career is multifaceted. This breaks/house maestro is founding member of UNKLE which has featured guest vocalists such as Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Richard Ashcroft (The Verve), Ian Brown (The Stone Roses), Ian Astbury (The Cult) and Mike D. (The Beastie Boys). He's recently remixed the likes of Robert Plant, Metallica, Queens of the Stone Age, Autolux, Massive Attack and Junkie XL. He's also finished new UNKLE music and produced a new Oasis song for the major motion picture GOAL! When he's not in the studio you'll find James touring the world?coming soon to your world.
