Yes ladies and gents, it is almost that time again. Time to throw our inhibitions to the wind, throw some funky shapes on the dance floor and generally have barrels of fun. Yes, SWAMP is back!
After our Blind Date Night in February which threw up more than one surprise encounter (and a very empty condom machine), the SWAMP crew are back again, at HarderFasters 2nd favourite venue, Club 414 in Brixton.
Our first guest for tonight is none other than industry pioneer DJ Amethyst. How many DJs do you know who play live guitar over their music, and manage to sound absolutely amazing at the same time? Answers on a postcard please, because we know none other than the one and only DJ Amethyst. We really cannot emphasise enough how much this has to be seen to be believed.
Also responsible for bringing you the record label Hinotori Sound (and a certain classic collaboration with the one and only Phil Reynolds), DJ Amethyst returns to the 414 for the first time in over a year to show us all the true meaning of the word “live”.
London based Trance DJ Ped (or Andy to his mum) has been trancing up dance floors since he took up mixing in 2003. With residencies at Sunrise, Spiritualised, and the recent launch of his own night Ascendance, he really knows a thing or two about Trance.
Ped was originally due to play with Steve Hitch, but due to unforeseen circumstances this is no longer possible, so we have given him the whole 2 hours to himself to take us on a journey through Trance.
Fusion and Ryno are two of the fastest up and coming DJ's in Wales, having played for pretty much all the major nights including Bionic and Breathe, as well as their very own Triptonic night, which will be celebrating its 1st birthday the week after SWAMP.
As they will be making their London debut at SWAMP on the 13th, we would like to ask our regulars to please refrain from bringing inflatable sheep. I doubt you’ll get past Steve the bouncer with one under your arm anyway.
Of course, it just wouldn’t be a proper SWAMP without the residents, would it? Also playing on the night are Mad Phil, Dean Zone, Matt Church and Littleman.
Keep your eyes peeled also for an announcement soon, as the month of May is none other than SWAMP’s 5th Birthday!
