Fergie announces line-up for techno room at Come Together Weekender

Reported by GeordieLee / Submitted 05-09-04 10:25

Radio One DJ Fergie has announced the line up for his room at the Come Together Weekender in Southport this November.

Joining him in the techno room will be Umek, Valentino Kanzayani, Anderson Noise, Jel Ford and Paul Richards.

The collaboration between two of the biggest nights in the country, Promise and Goodgreef, has already seen them take over a boat on the River Tyne, one of Newcastle’s biggest clubs and the Majestyk in Leeds for the August bank holiday.

However, they will come together like never before when they take over the Pontin’s holiday centre in Southport for three days of music, madness and mayhem.

The event, which runs from Friday 12th November to Sunday 14th November, promises to be the most diverse dance music weekender and has something for everyone. With six rooms, over 80 DJ’s, six live acts and 3,500 clubbers, no-one will be left disappointed.

Friday alone sees Guy Ornadel, John 00 Fleming, NU-NRG (live), Above and Beyond, JFK, Thrillseekers and more host the Passion Arena. In the warehouse hard dance arena, Lisa Lashes, Lab 4 (live), BK, Rob Tissera, Paul Glazby and K90 (live) are among the DJ’s that are performing. If that isn’t your thing, Garlands and Kiss Da Funk host a room featuring Howard Donald, Trophy Twins, Rob Tissera, Dave and Huey and more. With a breaks room too, the choice of where you end up is up to you.

Of course, that’s just the beginning. On Saturday night, Come Together presents Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Marco V, Scot Project, Above and Beyond vs Oceanlab (live), Matt Hardwick, Adam Sheridan, Richard Tulip and Col Hamilton.

Elsewhere, the techno warehouse will be hosted by Fergie, the electro room sees up and coming talent in the form of Disko Bitch take centre stage along with more established DJ’s like People Get Real, King Roc, Dan Tait, Lucy Lockett and more. Saturday night is complete with the House Party room, which sees Jo Mills, Clive Henry, Tom Neville, Jason Herd, Kris James, One Desire, Kriss Knight and the Rhythm Boys entertain the masses.

Sunday will see Eddie Halliwell play a classic hard set in the main arena. The arena will also showcase the talents of Mark E.G, Dark By Design, Nick Sentience (live), Proteus, Organ Donors, Alex Kidd, JP b2b Danny D and Mark Maitland.

The trance producer classics room will get visits from Solarstone, Lange, Riley and Durrant, Les Hemstock, Jon Askew and Ben Lost while the house room sees Pete Robinson, Paul Taylor, Scooby, Rhythm Boys and Simon Brown all take to the decks.

With a daytime line-up and chill out areas as well, no-one could possibly be bored during this weekend.

Barry Almond, promoter of Goodgreef, commented: “This weekender will be like a mini indoor festival.

“With over 80 worlds class DJ’s, 6 awesome live acts, across 6 rooms and a fusion of musical genres such as Trance, Hard Dance, House, Techno, Electro & Breaks to suit all tastes.

“Come Together as a concept combines the finest dance promoters in the UK together for a special & unique event.”

Prices are £115 per person and includes accommodation for two nights and three days as well as access to all entertainment.
